Mosquito Lagoon is the only equestrian venue of its caliber in the region, known for its horse culture and community. The facility resides on Florida’s east coast, 20 minutes south of New Smyrna Beach, two hours from Ocala, home to the World Equestrian Center, and three hours from Wellington, the nation’s horse-showing capital. Located in Mims, Florida, Mosquito Lagoon spans 120 acres offering full care boarding, best-in-class training and clinics, and equine rehabilitation therapies. Mosquito Lagoon boards all horses represented by Coastal Bloodstock, providing modern, safe, and comfortable stalls equipped with all the amenities to provide the ultimate in equine comfort and care.
The property features a lighted, covered arena for year-round training, classes, and clinics. The covered arena connects with two barns and 22 stalls, private tack rooms, grooming, and wash bay areas. The facility also provides traditional and innovative therapeutic and rehabilitative treatments to return equines to peak health and performance.
Horses, trainers, and equestrians can ride and train in the facility’s many areas, including an outdoor 220-foot by 110-foot, all-weather footing arena, a 60-foot covered, all-weather footing round pen, a jumper field, and a hunter derby field.
Throughout the year, Mosquito Lagoon hosts various riding clinics from world-renown equestrians and serves as a training facility. For gatherings and events, the facility also has a lounge and kitchen.
